LifePsyche energy psychology services include:

  • Emotional Freedom Techniques (and variants) (EFT)
  • Techniques from Energy Medicine
  • EMDR

Anita Cochrane, Director of LifePsyche, has been working with EP techniques since 2000. Energy psychology techniques are considered innovative therapies. Once considered controversial, they are now developing an evidence base. The American Psychological Association is currently considering EFT as an evidence-based therapy. Visit innersource.net or energypsych.org for a more comprehensive overview of research in the field.

Weight management & eating issues

LifePsyche uses the DietPsyche program for the management of weight issues and eating disorders.

Anita Cochrane, DietPsyche’s founder, says most of us KNOW what to eat & how to exercise BUT have to navigate an increasingly complex world to achieve this. She says we can no longer focus weight loss initiatives on the concept of people having personal control over their health. Overweight and obesity are not simply created by an individual’s lack of personal self control. Obesity is a complex condition caused by multiple factors ranging from genetics, physiology and psychology through to social, cultural, political,  economic and environmental factors. Anita believes that to effectively lose weight we need to manage a range of complex systems. Her approach therefore is centred around a systems-focused, multi-disciplinary, multicomponent approach to obesity management.

At the moment the DietPsyche program is only available as a face-to-face service but we recommend that anyone interested in losing weight sign up for the DietPsyche facebook or Dietpsyche blog (www.dietpsyche.com.au) to get regular up-to-date cutting edge information to assist with weight management and eating disorder issues.
